As he sat there with his arms enfolded around her small frame, he forced himself to cease his crying but the tears were still running down his now slightly red cheeks and his sniffling still continued as he tried to relax as he breathed in and out, shutting his eyes as he felt the kisses.
“You’re right, Saki. I know. I know. I shouldn’t let it bother me anymore. That’s all in the past now anyway. You’re right, yeah. You’re fine now. It’s okay. Everything’s okay. Saki..thank you. He muttered a bit shyly, lifting his gaze towards hers now.
Saki had long since been the one to accept the entire situation more than Kida had, so it was no surprise that he was more shaken up at what happened. She’d accepted what happened to her even before it happened, she’d only been doing what Izaya wanted her to. But now her sole focus was Kida, comforting her boyfriend and making him relax once more; he’d never sleep in this wound up state, and then he’d be tired for a majority of tomorrow because he didn’t get enough rest.
She listened to him babble in attempts to calm down and convince himself that he really was alright, and her head lifted as well so their eyes could meet. Until she shifted so she was more kneeling in front of Kida and could push him back down onto the bed so she could snuggle his chest.

"You’re welcome. Are you going to be alright to sleep or do you want something?”
